By creating an account on or using GraduateSmart (the "Service"), operated by GraduateSmart Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
GraduateSmart is a free educational platform designed to help high school students explore careers, find colleges and trade schools, plan CLEP and AP exam strategies, and build personalized academic roadmaps. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

The career data, school information, salary ranges, job outlook statistics, CLEP and AP exam savings estimates, and scholarship matching results provided on GraduateSmart are for general educational and informational purposes only. We make every effort to ensure accuracy — including sourcing salary data from the BLS Occupational Outlook Handbook and school data from publicly available admissions statistics — but we do not guarantee that any information is current, complete, or error-free.
GraduateSmart does not guarantee admission to any school, employment in any career field, acceptance of CLEP or AP credit by any institution, eligibility for any scholarship or opportunity, or specific tuition savings. Students should independently verify all information with their school counselors, colleges, and relevant institutions.
The Smart Match engine ranks scholarships and opportunities based on your profile data. Appearing as a "Strong Match" or "Good Match" does not guarantee eligibility or selection. We encourage you to read each opportunity's full requirements before applying.
GraduateSmart optionally collects sensitive personal information including race, ethnicity, gender, disability status, household income range, citizenship status, and military/veteran family status. By voluntarily providing this information, you acknowledge and agree that:
You retain ownership of any content you submit to GraduateSmart, including roadmaps, notes, profile information, and other data ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
GraduateSmart may display links to third-party websites, scholarship listings, internships, and other opportunities posted by organizations. We do not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or opportunity listing. You access third-party links at your own risk.
Opportunity listings posted by organizations on GraduateSmart are subject to review and approval by our team. We reserve the right to remove listings that we determine are inappropriate, fraudulent, or harmful to students.
All content, features, and functionality on GraduateSmart — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software — are the property of GraduateSmart Inc. and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GraduateSmart Inc. disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
In no event shall GraduateSmart Inc. be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York County, New York.
